Where local grape varieties, careful cultivation, and sustainability coexist and flourish in harmony.
Lafazanis Winery builds the quality of its wines on a holistic viticultural approach, combining privately owned vineyards with long-standing partnerships. Today, we cultivate 160 stremmas of owned vineyards under precision conventional farming and 170 stremmas under organic cultivation. Our viticultural footprint is further enriched by an extensive network of partner growers who share a common philosophy of quality and respect for the grape.

A gentle, "green" approach, rooted in respect for the natural cycle.
The privately-owned organic vineyard of Lafazanis Winery represents a conscious investment in the future and a natural evolution of our viticultural philosophy. It is developed on a single 300-stremma plot of land known as Tsourka, at the foothills of the Dafnias mountain range, in the area of Agios Vasileios, Nemea.
To date, 170 stremmas have been planted and are cultivated exclusively using organic practices, while the project remains in full development. In 2026, the vineyard’s organic certification will be completed, and the same year will mark the release of the first label originating from this estate.

The landscape is defined by a marked diversity of soils and gentle slopes that allow for smooth water drainage, while the terrain facilitates the constant circulation of winds, shaping its own distinct microclimate. Together, these elements form the unique terroir of Tsourka.
Cultivation follows a gentle, “green” approach, guided by respect for nature’s cycle and aimed at preserving the balance of the vineyard. Observation, patience, and adaptation to the needs of each vintage define our viticultural practices, while the vineyard also serves as a field of experimentation, knowledge, and learning. Within this framework, grape varieties previously unfamiliar to the winery have been planted, including Kydonitsa, Vidiano, and Mavrotragano.

Low yields per stremma for consistent quality and character.
The privately owned vineyards under precision conventional farming are mainly located around the winery in Nemea, with additional plots on the slopes of Foka Hill and in Mantinia. With Agiorgitiko as the primary variety, complemented by other Greek and international grapes, the vineyards are cultivated with low yields per stremma to highlight the character of the terroir and ensure consistent quality year after year.
Among the varieties grown are Malagousia, Assyrtiko, Moschofilero, Gewürztraminer, Roditis, and Syrah, all approached with the aim of expressing the true character of each grape.

Ongoing communication and quality control at every stage.
The winery collaborates with over 300 growers in Nemea and selected areas of Corinthia and Arcadia, covering a total of approximately 2,000 stremmas. The relationship with our partners is based on continuous communication, close monitoring of the vineyards, and quality control at every stage, from the vine to the harvest.
